Creative Food Brand Activation
Kombi & Co. partnered with Bumble, a cool and innovative online network App for an experiential marketing campaign targeting University students in Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane. “The Only Noods You’ll Ever Find on Bumble” was a fun and clever tag line for this tailored food brand activation which rewarded people with a pot of free hot noodles in return for downloading the Bumble app on their phones.
Our job was to customise a Kombi Sampling Station, which attracted people with a vibrant and yellow pop-up pot noodle bar at University campuses across the eastern seaboard of Australia. The surprise free cups of hot noodles for students were on point and created a fun buzz around the campuses. This food sampling brand activation was also an effective way to increase brand recall by creating a very positive experience.
Other than the unique visual appeal, our Kombi Noodle Bar served multiple functions. From one side it served noodles and interacted with customers while the other side functioned as the preparation area with a row of Hot Water Urns to make the noodles. It was the ultimate food sampling van that turned heads wherever it went.
This fun & creative way to delight people with a freebie resulted in a massive uptake of app downloads – a huge success for Bumble in terms of increasing brand awareness as well as acquiring new users of the App.
